Better requires process, discipline, and simplification
You’ll be a member of Western Union’s Financial Intelligence Unit (“FIU”) located within the Global Compliance organization. This highly visible area is responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating money laundering and terrorist financing risks to Western Union. You will create automated and ad-hoc data extracts, identify data tools and methodologies to increase the productivity of the organization, and interact with multiple business units to fulfil the large data needs of the FIU. As the Senior FIU Data Strategy Analyst, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the data extracts and reports created. You’ll also assist the team with analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of automated data extracts and developing ad-hoc queries to provide resulting data to the FIU.
Ideally you will have a bachelor’s degree and solid communication skills, both written and oral, to explain technical concepts clearly to a wide audience and be able to translate business objectives into actionable items. You have very strong SQL Server development skills including T-SQL and SSIS. You will also have experience working with Data Visualization tools, such as Tableau, i2 or R. You have advanced query skills using SQL, Hadoop, Snowflake or related databases and conducting self-service data blending using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep and Power BI Dataflow. You have also prepared data for analysis, visualization and mapping on very large datasets using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Sisense BI, Tibco Spotfire, ArcGIS, etc. You have experience creating SharePoint sites, and your advanced Excel skills include creating macros.
