Systems Engineers for Western Union Business Solutions (USA) (Denver, CO) – Plan and build production and pre-production/production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment. Direct effort to plan, engineer, and design the infrastructure, as well as direct effort to evaluate, recommend, integrate and coordinate enhancements to the infrastructure. Work with IT Architects to ensure that modification/changes to the infrastructure interacts appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered and other areas of impact are addressed to meet the performance requirements of the project. Oversee and authorize projects in several specialized element(s) of the infrastructure, such as the network, telephony, middleware, Unix, Windows, VMWare, Storage, etc. Automate building systems using PowerShell scripting and deploying applications. Oversee effort to test, debug, performance analyze and document infrastructure components. Design and configure the High Availability environment using MSCS or other cluster solutions with knowledge/experience on Storage Devices (SAN, NAS, DAS). Capacity management for complex Windows, Citrix environments.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related; and 5 years progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience as an IT Consultant or related systems software occupation, which must include some experience with: managing and supporting Active Directory (Directory Services, DFS, DNS, and GPO); Windows Server management and performance troubleshooting; Hyperconverged infrastructure management (UCS, Nutanix etc); Windows Security; Antivirus products; Scripting in Powershell; VMware vSphere; and storage solutions (EMC Xtreme IO, and VNX). Also requires: Vmware Certified Professional.
